This Cocktail Will Take Your Picnics to Immense Heights!!
In collaboration with KG Brian 📽
I call it day drinking, others call it "Going for a picnic." 🍹
First of all, I'd like to apologize for depriving you guys of the greatness that are my blog posts; I took a break to make them even greater. I'm so excited to be back guys!!
Over the past few months I have come to learn something interesting about myself; I prefer to day drink than to night drink. I don't know if I'm the only one? But there's something about drinking under the warm sun that you can't get while drinking in the night. Maybe it's because I can see everything in the day time. Whereas, in the night time, all I see is flashing lights 🎆 and it's a bit scary, if I'm being honest.
Life is sweeter when you're drinking, as the warm wind tickles your skin.
Important: Don't worry if you don't have a shaker, you can either use a water bottle or a teaspoon to stir. This is a homemade cocktail, we must improvise. Also, if the sweetness, strength or fizz isn't enough you can add the ingredients according to your taste and stir.
This drink is called "Going for a Picnic."
Ice cubes (for the shaker and glasses)
1 cup of orange juice (freshly squeezed or store bought)
½ cup of pineapple juice
5 shots of coconut rum
2 lemon slices for garnish (Optional)
3 teaspoons of grenadine syrup
Fill the shaker with ice.
Pour the orange and pineapple juice into the shaker. Add the rum and shake.
Cut the lemons and fill the glasses with ice.
Pour the mixture into the glasses and add the grenadine syrup and a straw.
When you think of a picnic, you think sunshine, good vibes, being one with the earth with your toes in the grass; and this drink sparks that memory. Even during gloomy days, a sip of this sunshine in my mouth can change my whole mood.
Obviously, everything tastes better when it's shared, so make these for your friends on your next day out 😍. Make sure you take a picture and tag me on Instagram (@__tarara) I would love to see how it turned out for you.
